Rivers with special guest Tanjo & Crow
Rivers Bio:
Born out of the simple idea to be able to play anywhere and at any time gave rise to central Pennsylvania’s indie-folk group Rivers. Brought together and baptized by the mighty Susquehanna, and with just simple acoustic instruments, the power trio amasses an eclectic inundation of sound. Made up of Joe Schaefer (bass), Matthew Sinkovitz (percussion), and Vincent Yarnell (guitar and banjo), they spatter forth an electrifying array of technical nuance and heavy-thumping beats worthy to be remembered. Rivers’ style is a wash of genres that defies classification and leaves audiences thirsty for more. Now this folk slaps. Visit Artist Website
Tanjo & Crow Bio:
Tanjo & Crow is a no-holds-barred exploration of roots music through eclectic songwriting, Appalachian arrangements, and seemingly fearless improvisation. The band draws upon the diverse musical backgrounds of Tanner Bingaman (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Allan Combs II (guitar, vocals). The full band currently features special guest musicians including various formats with Eric Avey (upright bass, vocals), Jason Mescia (saxophone), and Dave Driskell (Clarinet). After the release of their labor-of-love series entitled The Elias Center Sessions, Tanjo & Crow was featured on NPR via WITF Music. The band is looking at an exciting season of theatre shows, festival sets, and listening-room shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in 2023. Visit Artist Website.
